Besides access to data, resources as well as awesome mentors and coaches, we have amazing cash prizes for the best team per category / challenge.The team with the highest score based on the jury evaluation will be invited to join a 1-month pilot project with the lead partner of the respective challenge - our so called HackMonths. In this 4 weeks timeframe the teams will receive additional support and even more access to data. To allocate a team for the HackMonths, the four winning Micro-SME will receive 7,000 Euro in direct support per SME, which is part of the <a href="https://intelliot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/IntellIoT_Open_Call_3_GfA_final_04082023.pdf" target="_blank">Open Call grant support</a> provided by IntellIoT. Please note that you have to upload all requested information until October 13, 12:00 and check-in at least 3 times with the IntellIoT team to be eligible to the prize. Background: The EC funding budget for Third Parties available for all IntellIoT Open Calls is 860,000 Euro. The four selected companies during this HackWeek - <a href="https://intelliot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/IntellIoT_Open_Call_3_GfA_final_04082023.pdf" target="_blank">officially IntellIots Open Call #3 </a>- each gain access to the IntellIoT project within a 1-month pilot/HackMonth to work with the IntellIoT partners. The beneficiaries will receive the funding as a fixed lump sum. The lump sum is a simplified method of settling expenses in projects financed from Horizon 2020 funds. It means that the grantee is not required to present strictly defined accounting documents to prove the cost incurred (e.g., invoices), but is obliged to demonstrate the implementation of the project in line with the milestones set for the project. Simply speaking it means that we will assess your progress and quality of your work during the final review, not your accountancy. The milestones (deliverables and KPIs) will be elaborated at the beginning of the 1-month pilot. The lump sum does not release you from the obligation to collect documentation to confirm the costs under fiscal regulation. In order to receive the grant, an individual Collaboration Agreement in accordance with Horizon 2020 funding rules has to be signed between the selected organizations and the IntellIoT consortium. SIEMENS AG, as the overall coordinator of the IntellIoT project, will be responsible for transferring the grants in accordance with the above-mentioned process, and the following installments:<ol><li>After contract signature, a prepayment of 50% of the requested funding will be issued. </li><li>One month after the end of the pilot phase and after the final review presentation plus the submission of a short 2-page Summary Report, the remaining 50% of the requested funding will be transferred. </li></ol>Check out the complete <a href="https://intelliot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/IntellIoT_Open_Call_3_GfA_final_04082023.pdf" target="_blank">Guide for Applicants</a> for further information.

Overall Resources: Our Hackathon is organized in a hybrid way. We use different digital tools to connect:<ul><li>Taikai: On our core platform you can send messages to fellow participants but also mentors and coaches. You can also upload information on your project page and exchange documents via Taikai. All official messages from the organisers will be shared via TaiKai.</li><li><a href="https://join.slack.com/t/scincubatorcommunity/shared_invite/zt-1i9eiro04-XLTJYJ7BUbNPP5E5lYJjcg" target="_blank">Slack: </a>We use Slack as an additional communications tool - here you can build channels and initiate quick conversations. Use<a href="https://join.slack.com/t/scincubatorcommunity/shared_invite/zt-1i9eiro04-XLTJYJ7BUbNPP5E5lYJjcg" target="_blank"> Slack </a>to also ask questions, network, look for like-minded people and connect with fellow teams.</li><li>Zoom: We will do all the sessions, workshops and also the pitch event via Zoom. </li></ul> Challenge related resources: Challenge: "Secure and Transparent Billing on the Blockchain"<ul><li>IntellIoT’s manufacturing use case has already deployed a DLT which captures the movement and usage of machinery (e.g., robot, laser cutter). Remote access to the DLT can be provided.</li></ul>Challenge: "Virtual Industrial Revolution using XR Solutions§<ul><li>IntellIoT’s manufacturing use case has already developed an AR/VR solution as well as a 3D environment of the lab. Holo-Light’s own ISAR SDK (free version) for Unity, which enables Remote Application Rendering, can be provided. As additional aid to possible candidates, 3D models can be provided.</li></ul>Challenge: "AI-driven Autonomy for Industrial Vehicles"<ul><li>IntellIoT has already developed AI models for the autonomous movement of a tractor. There is also limited amount of labeled data (imagery and control commands) of a moving tractor.</li></ul>Challenge: "Remote Robot Control using Multi-Agent Systems and Web of Things"<ul><li>IntellIoT has already developed Yggdrasil (<a href="https://github.com/Interactions-HSG/yggdrasil" target="_blank">https://github.com/Interactions-HSG/yggdrasil</a>). The branch to use will be provided later), a platform for hypermedia-based Multi Agent Systems, which can be used as a hypermedia repository for publishing machine-readable profiles of services, devices, and agents. Such profiles of services or devices expose signifiers that can be interpreted by agents to retrieve information about interaction possibilities (e.g. moving a robot arm or invoking a Web service) offered by the artifacts. This enables you to program software programs that are more autonomous from their specific execution context. Yggdrasil for instance supports the W3C Web of Things (WoT) standard (<a href="https://www.w3.org/WoT/" target="_blank">https://www.w3.org/WoT/</a>) Via Yggdrasil and W3C WoT, we for instance provide you with remote access to a robot; however, it is beneficial if participants bring in their own robots for integration with IntellIoT / HyperMAS.</li><li>The WoT-TD-Java (https://github.com/Interactions-HSG/wot-td-java) Library can be used to generate and process Thing Descriptions (<a href="https://www.w3.org/TR/wot-thing-description/" target="_blank">https://www.w3.org/TR/wot-thing-description/</a>) in Java. The example-tds (<a href="https://github.com/Interactions-HSG/example-tds" target="_blank">https://github.com/Interactions-HSG/example-tds</a>) repository provides example Thing Descriptions that are created and used through the WoT-TD-Java library.</li><li>JaCaMo-srm (link: to be provided later) is a project that implements a JaCaMo bridge for Yggdrasil. This software can be used to deploy a multi-agent system, where agents achieve their goals by interpreting signifiers and exploiting interaction possibilities advertised by signifiers.</li></ul> Hackers Favorits! About IntellIoT<a href="https://intelliot.eu" target="_blank">IntellIoT </a>is a pan-European research and innovation project funded by the European Union as part of the Horizon 2020 programme ICT-56-2020 “Next Generation Internet of Things”.  The overarching objective of IntellIoT is to develop a reference architecture and framework to enable IoT environments for (semi-)autonomous IoT applications endowed with intelligence that evolves with the human-in-the-loop based on an efficient and reliable IoT/edge- (computation) and network- (communication) framework that dynamically adapts to changes in the environment and with built-in and assured security, privacy and trust. This reference architecture and framework was applied in the heterogeneous use cases encompassed in the project, covering agriculture, healthcare and manufacturing smart environments - and also tested in the energy, smart city and construction domain. This HackWeek represents the third and final Open Call of our IoT project which will end in January 2024.At the end of the HackWeek, four SME will be selected to join a special 1-month pilot programme to further co-create the developed solutions with some of our 14 IntellIoT partners, among them Siemens, Hololight, TTTech, AVL, the University of St. Gallen, Sphynx Analytics, the University of Oulu, Aalborg University and our ecosystem partner Startup Colors. So your team needs to be incorporated to join and you should also be able to <a href="https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/how-to-participate/participant-register" target="_blank">provide a PIC</a>.How to join /register:<ol><li>Ideally, 2 to 10 team members of your startup register on Taikai and fill out the custom registration form.</li><li>The team lead sets up a project and provides all relevant information. Please also check here.</li><li>The other team members join this project and collaborate. </li><li>There will be no matching if single hackers with teams.</li><li>Please note that of you list your projects as "private" or "draft" other teams will not be able to see your sensitive information.</li></ol> <h2>Deliverables</h2>Hackteams are expected to showcase MVPs and concepts that showcase solution pathways focusing on the four identified Industrial Metaverse challenges. Besides a project description provided on the platform Taikai, all eligible HackWeek teams will present their approaches in special 10 min presentations to selected evaluators.
