What is Infinite Hackathons #0 - Genesis Bogota?

Infinite Hackathons #0 - Genesis Bogota is a yearly technology event, spanning over three days of non-stop technical talks, workshops, competitions, and coding. For 60 hours straight, around 1000 participants can enjoy world-class presentations, demos, community events, and its classic 48-hour coding competition.

Who can attend Infinite Hackathons #0 - Genesis Bogota?

Infinite Hackathons #0 - Genesis Bogota is targeted at creative minds with a hacker spirit (in the classical definition of the word). Anyone with a technical profile is welcome to apply, engineers, designers, students..

How are applicants selected?

Applications are processed on a “first received, first processed” basis. If an applicant is qualified, their application is approved and they will be entered into the hackathon.

How much does it cost?

Infinite Hackathons #0 - Genesis Bogota is free for all selected candidates.

Will there be a wait list?

Yes, there will be a wait list. All applicants will be notified once their application has been processed, whether they have been accepted, waitlisted or rejected.

Can I bring a guest to the event?

No. All attendees must apply to the event individually.

I was selected but can't attend the event, what do I do?

Please let us know. Spots are limited and it would be nice if another candidate could go instead.

Will there be a live stream from the event?

Yes, live streaming will be available. The feed will be focused on the activities taking place on the main stage, such as talks and judging.

Will the talks be recorded?

Yes, every talk will be recorded and available online in the weeks following the event.

Is there food and beverages at the event?

Food and drinks will be provided free for all attendees. We'll be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and there will be random snacks and beverages available 24/7.

Will you be handing out Swag?

That is a very big YES! There will also be NFTs and POAPs handed out.

Should I arrange for a place to stay? Are there hotels nearby?

In the spirit of the event, attendees can choose to stay the night at the venue, bring sleeping bags or use the provided bean bags, yoga mats. 

The hackathon's venue itself is a hotel, but rooms are not provided for free: DoubleTree by Hilton Bogota Salitre AR, Cra. 60 #22-99, Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Colombia

Do you pay for the atendees' transportation and/or accomodation costs?

Some early applicants could be eligible for a limited number of travel grants and/or free accommodation. Follow our social media for eligibility terms and updates.

Are there showers available?

Don't count on it, but bathrooms are available.

Is there Wi-Fi at the event?

Of course!

I am interested in exhibiting or becoming a sponsor, what do I do?

Infinite Hackathons do not seek or accept outside sponsors, in order to minimize distractions and elevate the level of technical experience.
