How do I start?

1. Register HERE.
2. Form a team. You don't have a team? Click the matchmaking button to look for participants with the desired skills.
3. Select your topic. Use our resources to learn more about the topic and suggested use cases.
4. Once you have finalized your topic and have conducted initial research to validate it, reach out to us at [email protected] to be connected to a Hilti mentor.
5. Start developing your solution. You can find some recommendations here.

What is the recommended team size?

3-4 team members is ideal. However, we approve the participance of all team sizes.

Who owns the IP rights?

Your creations may reach a degree of innovation or originality as to qualify for intellectual property rights.  You maintain ownership of your creations and related intellectual property rights regardless of your success with the Challenge.

How do I schedule a meeting with a mentor?

Please note that a meeting with a mentor will be scheduled only once your team have a concrete idea in mind, and have conducted initial research to validate it.

What technologies, communication protocols and platforms are allowed? 

You may use any open-source protocol, mobile application or cloud-based platform. 

You are not restricted to any kind of hardware, programming language or database, and may choose any tool that you find suitable.
