<h2>Health, Demography and Quality of Life are about creating a holistic approach for a sustainable future for Nordic Health sector.</h2><p><br></p><p>On a global level, demographic challenges have a major impact on health care systems. Nordic countries have a growing proportion of elderly people and an increased prevalence of lifestyle and chronic diseases.</p><p><br></p><p>The Nordic region is facing those challenges head on and is going through a transformation process. The best way for increased quality of life is to prevent you from becoming sick. Currently, approximately 10% of the GDP is spent on treatment and 0,3% on prevention. The Nordics want to see more focus on preventive health and the ratio becoming 5/5. As a result, we are adapting our technology and business models to center around integrated care, personalized medicine, value-based healthcare and population health management. Agility, transparency and data sharing are the key elements to this transformation.</p><p><br></p><p>We believe Nordic cooperation is key to maintain our position as global front runners and secure a competitive future for the health related industries.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Our vision is that by 2030, the Nordics will be the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world, providing the best possible personalized health care for all its citizens.</p><p><br></p><h2>What is the Grand Nordic Health Hackathon?</h2><p><br></p><p>A Hackathon is an event where solutions are created through rapid prototyping and innovation in a short span of time.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>A diverse group of participants will create apps, programs, procedures or inventions that can become their own entities and potentially change the world.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>At the Nordic Health hack we want to create innovative patient facing digital solutions, i.e. something digital that improves the health and quality of life for everyday people.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>You don&acute;t need to sign up as a team, you can sign up by yourself and we&rsquo;ll find a team for you. You don&rsquo;t need to have an idea, you don&rsquo;t need to know how to code or design, your input and specialization will be an invaluable part of the Hackathon.</p><p><br></p><h2>Nordic Innovation challenge:</h2><p><br></p><p>To claim the grand prize you must create a solution to the Nordic Innovation challenge. After you confirm your interest, in the challenge page you will have a button to &ldquo;Create a project&rdquo;. Add a name, a description and who will join you on this adventure. Then you can add a lot more content and improve this page to show how good your project is. Don&#39;t forget to click on &quot;Publish&quot; to have your project visible to the jury and organization and if you need you can do as many changes as you need until the submission deadline.</p><h3><br></h3><h3>WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES OF THE CHALLENGE?</h3><p>Registration will occur between the 4th of September and the 26th of October.</p><h3><br></h3><h3>WHAT ARE THE DELIVERABLES OF THIS CHALLENGE?</h3><p>Before the 30th of October you will have to publish on the platform, your Project, comprised of:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Demo Video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo;&nbsp;</li><li>TAIKAI Project Description documenting all the technologies and the approach used.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>If your repository is private, share access with <a href="mailto:support@taikai.network">support@taikai.network</a>;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Screenshots, Diagrams or Slideshow Presentations.&nbsp;</li><li>Any other relevant documentation.</li></ul><p><br></p><h3>WHO HAS ACCESS TO MY PROJECT?</h3><p>You, your team and NHH members have access to the full description and details of your project.
