<h3>WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE CHALLENGE?</h3>The challenge is to develop innovative personalised digital solutions that will improve the health and quality of life for Nordic citizens.&nbsp; We encourage solutions that focus on prevention but we are also happy to see solutions focusing on treatment and care.&nbsp; The aim of this challenge is to take further steps towards our vision of making the Nordics the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world by 2030, providing the best possible personalised health care for all its citizens. <h3>WHO CAN APPLY / SUBMIT A PROJECT?</h3>Participants must have a permanent Nordic residency, the Hackathon is for Nordic Citizens and those who live in the Nordic region, including students at Nordic Universities, those are the only ones eligible to participate <h3>HOW CAN I APPLY / SUBMIT A PROJECT?</h3>You need to go to the challenge page and register your participation clicking on the button &ldquo;Be an Innovator&rdquo;. After you confirm your interest, in the challenge page you will have a button to &ldquo;Create a project&rdquo;. Add a name, a description and who will join you on this adventure. Then you can add a lot more content and improve this page to show how good your project is. Don&#39;t forget to click on &quot;Publish&quot; to have your project visible to the jury and organization and if you need you can do as many changes as you need until the submission deadline.<h3> </h3><h3>WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES OF THE CHALLENGE?</h3>Registration will occur between the 4th of September and the 26th of October.<h3> </h3><h3>WHAT ARE THE DELIVERABLES OF THIS CHALLENGE?</h3>Before the 30th of October you will have to publish on the platform, your Project, comprised of:&nbsp;<ul><li>Demo Video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo;&nbsp;</li><li>TAIKAI Project Description documenting all the technologies and the approach used.&nbsp;</li></ul>If your repository is private, share access with <a href="mailto:support@taikai.network">support@taikai.network</a>;&nbsp;<ul><li>Screenshots, Diagrams or Slideshow Presentations.&nbsp;</li><li>Any other relevant documentation.</li></ul> <h3>WHO HAS ACCESS TO MY PROJECT?</h3>You, your team and NHH members have access to the full description and details of your project. <h2>Health, Demography and Quality of Life are about creating a holistic approach for a sustainable future for Nordic Health sector.</h2> On a global level, demographic challenges have a major impact on health care systems. Nordic countries have a growing proportion of elderly people and an increased prevalence of lifestyle and chronic diseases. The Nordic region is facing those challenges head on and is going through a transformation process. The best way for increased quality of life is to prevent you from becoming sick. Currently, approximately 10% of the GDP is spent on treatment and 0,3% on prevention. The Nordics want to see more focus on preventive health and the ratio becoming 5/5. As a result, we are adapting our technology and business models to center around integrated care, personalized medicine, value-based healthcare and population health management. Agility, transparency and data sharing are the key elements to this transformation. We believe Nordic cooperation is key to maintain our position as global front runners and secure a competitive future for the health related industries.&nbsp; Our vision is that by 2030, the Nordics will be the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world, providing the best possible personalized health care for all its citizens. <h2>What is the Grand Nordic Health Hackathon?</h2> A Hackathon is an event where solutions are created through rapid prototyping and innovation in a short span of time.&nbsp; A diverse group of participants will create apps, programs, procedures or inventions that can become their own entities and potentially change the world.&nbsp; At the Nordic Health hack we want to create innovative patient facing digital solutions, i.e. something digital that improves the health and quality of life for everyday people.&nbsp; You don&acute;t need to sign up as a team, you can sign up by yourself and we&rsquo;ll find a team for you. You don&rsquo;t need to have an idea, you don&rsquo;t need to know how to code or design, your input and specialization will be an invaluable part of the Hackathon. <h2>Nordic Innovation challenge:</h2> To claim the grand prize you must create a solution to the Nordic Innovation challenge. All code must be fresh and made during the&nbsp;Hackathon <h3>CODE REVIEW</h3>Winning teams can be subject to a code-review at some point following the event or immediately&nbsp;before winning <h3>OWNERSHIP AND IP</h3>Ownership and IP You own what you create, simple as that <h3>TEAM SIZE</h3>Teams of 2-5 participants are allowed <h3>DEMO</h3>You will have to demo your solution, if you have more than screenshot and a fancy presentation it is&nbsp;better <h3>CODE OF CONDUCT</h3>Be cool, nice and friendly. <h2>Judges criteria:</h2> Nordic Impact, Can this solution have a real and valuable impact to Nordic citizens and ecosystem?Progress, How have the team progress during the Hackathon, is there a prototype or something tangible?UI/UX, Is the end to end user experience good enough?Creativity, Is this solutions creative enough?Scalability, Is this solution a local or a global solution, what is the growth potential? Based on the number of project a preliminary qualification round of peer to peer judging might be added as an additional step on the Judging deliberation.Participants will be notified via Taikai platform and Slack if that is going to be the case.
