OutSystems, a global leader in modern application development, is announcing a worldwide, community-based application development project focused on helping nonprofits digitize their efforts and increase their outreach and impact. Inspired by the energy and determination of its developer community and the passion and commitment of its employees, OutSystems is committed to helping these community-minded organizations to build software that makes a difference and give them the power to innovate.

The OutSystems Build for the Future Hackathon is a partnership with our developer community to create a set of applications that will help a small group of nonprofits more easily deliver services to those in need.

The goal of the hackathon will be to develop applications for nonprofit organizations selected by OutSystems. The program will also provide free access to OutSystems enterprise-level software, for a minimum duration of one year, and cloud hosting offered by our partner AWS. Each of the nonprofits will present their use case, which will represent one hackathon challenge. Then, for five weeks with regular checkpoints, Q&A sessions, and OutSystems support, teams will develop the solution for the challenges.

Participation is limited to 15 teams (first come first served). Five teams for each of the three nonprofit organizations. Teams should be composed by members of the same OutSystems partner or customer organization.

After the hackathon, the winning team will be able to continue working with the selected nonprofit and help them implement the solution developed through the hackathon!

OutSystems partners and customers are invited to team up and participate in the hackathon. We want this hackathon to be a safe and positive experience for everyone—attendees, judges, and other participants.
