ETHChicago Hackathon AgreementIntroduction:  This document is an agreement for participants ("you") entering the ETHChicago Hackathon ("Event"). By entering, you agree to all terms, conditions, schedules, and expectations outlined herein. 1. Schedule and Location:  - Friday, September 15th, 2023: The venue will be open from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The hackathon will commence at 3:00 pm in the EAST Room on the 67th floor with an announcement of bounties, rules, and prizes. Activities include team formation sessions (time TBD) and workshops in the Lincoln Stage, culminating in the Opening Ceremony at 5:00 pm in the East Room. The event will proceed until close.- Saturday, September 16th, 2023: The venue will be accessible from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm. Attendees can expect speaking events and workshops, further team formation sessions (time TBD), and office hours (time TBD). The hackathon will continue till closure.- Sunday, September 17th, 2023: Doors open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hackathon submission support will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with final submissions due at 10:00 a.m. Teams will present to judges between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Finalists must present at the closing ceremony to get their prizes. Details for the next steps regarding bounties will be provided. *times are subject to change* 2. Participation Requirements:- Ticket Requirement: To participate in the hackathon, attendees must possess a valid ticket for the entire duration of the event.- In-Person Attendance: The Event is an In Real Life (IRL) gathering at the M Club in the Willis Tower. Physical presence is required for participation.- Only code created during the duration of the challenge will be accepted, do not submit an existing project. 3. Submissions- Only code developed in person at the event will be evaluated, the person(s) submitting must be absolutely clear on what was and was not developed during the event.- All persons may submit to a maximum of 2 bounties.- All submissions must include appropriate tags to identify which bounties the project is going for. - All submissions must identify a team lead or if the project is developed solo for management of payouts at the end of the event.- All submissions must be entered into TAIKAI before the cutoff to be eligible for prizes. Submissions will be evaluated by selected judges and audience depending on the bounty. Judging criteria can be found on the <a href="https://taikai.network/ethchicago/hackathons/ETHChicagoHackathon2023/prizes" target="_blank">prize page</a>. 4. Event Objectives:  The primary goal of the Event is to encourage collaboration and innovation in the blockchain space. Participants will compete for bounties sponsored by our partners. These challenges may involve developing new technology applications, improving current tools, or devising solutions to real-world problems using decentralized technologies. Specific rules will be added to each bounty. 5. Intellectual Property:  All intellectual property rights related to the solutions, tools, or methods developed during the hackathon remain with the individual or team of creators unless otherwise specified by a bounty sponsor. Submissions must not infringe on any existing IP. 6. Conduct:  Participants are expected to act professionally and respectfully towards fellow participants, organizers, sponsors, and attendees. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the Event.- Abide by all local, national, and international laws and regulations.- Do not engage in any illegal activities or use the event platform for malicious purposes.- Respect intellectual property rights and refrain from unauthorized use or distribution of copyrighted materials.- Collaboration and Teamwork:- Foster a spirit of collaboration and cooperation with fellow hackers, mentors, and organizers.- Contribute positively to the overall success of the event by sharing knowledge, skills, and ideas.- Support and mentor other participants, promoting a culture of learning and growth.- Use your skills and knowledge for bounty challenges only.- Bounty winners will need to elect a leader for the distribution of prizes and will be subject to KYC/AML- Follow the guidelines provided by the event organizers regarding the use of event resources, platforms, and tools.- Do not tamper with or disrupt the event infrastructure or the experiences of other participants.- Respect the event schedule and be punctual for all activities and sessions. 7. Liability:  ETHChicago and associated partners will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during the Event. 8. Amendments:  The organizers reserve the right to amend or update the schedule or rules as deemed necessary. 9. Acknowledgment and Acceptance:  By participating in the ETHChicago Hackathon, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions stated in this legal document.

<h2>ETHChicago Hackathon 2023</h2>The ETHChicago Hackathon is a three-day builder and creative IRL event where participants compete to win bounties sponsored by our partners. Bounties consist of tying together new technology in the blockchain space, innovating and learning from each other about existing blockchain tools, or solving real-world use cases with the unique properties of decentralized technology.<h2>Audience &amp; Hackers</h2>Anyone interested in decentralized technology is welcome, including developers, creatives, business leaders, students, and enthusiasts from all walks of life. <h2>What is ETHChicago Hackathon 2023?</h2>The ETHChicago Hackathon is a three-day builder and creative IRL event where participants compete to win bounties sponsored by our partners. Bounties consist of tying together new technology in the blockchain space, innovating and learning from each other about existing blockchain tools, or solving real-world use cases with the unique properties of decentralized technology. <h2>Where is my ticket for the event?</h2>Your ticket should be sent via email from "hello@unlock-protocol.com" with the subject line "Here is your ticket!"Follow the instructions in the email to obtain your electronic ticket. It is recommended to do this before arriving to the event. Pro tip: Take a screenshot of your ticket to easily present regardless of wifi or cellular availability. <h2> </h2><h2>Where does one register/pick up credentials during the event?</h2>Present yourself at the event in Willis Tower. If you registered online, your name has already been registered with building security and you need to check in with them when you arrive. <h2>What are some resources for me to get started?</h2>We have <a href="https://docs.ethchicago.xyz/docs/intro/" target="_blank">community docs</a> with useful resource links, starter kits, and other resources. The feed will be focused on the activities taking place on the main stage, such as talks and contests. <h2>ETHChicago IRL Hackathon 2023 Prizes</h2>Prizes are the rewards that builders (participants of the hackathon) win by completing a bounty. Each bounty will be unique, but participants may go for different bounties. Bounties are not guaranteed a winner if specific requirements are not met.
