Hacking, rules and submission

ETHDam Hacking Rules 📜

  • ETHDam is happening IRL 
  • You cannot copy, use or submit another team's source code;
  • The decision of judges is final in the determination of prizes and awards;
  • Bounties are in the hands of our hackathon partners, which need to reward all hackers max 2 weeks after ETHDam; 
  • All code for projects must be written during the event, there can be no previously written code submitted to the judging process;
  • All participants must hold a valid hacker ticket for ETHDam for their submission to be considered;
  • Please comply with all instructions provided by ETHDam organizers and volunteers, and respect our Code of Conduct

Minimum requirements to be judged   

  • A link to the open-source code;
  • A short demo video and/or presentation to describe the goal and use case of your project and to be used during the Pitches;
  • If applicable, the contract address(es) and/or website urls of your deployed demo/presentation must be provided, either on a testnet of your choice or mainnet of a platform of choice

The Otter Track  🦦

Otter Track is dedicated to existing projects. During the hackathon, you must add a feature, giving you the chance to present a polished project on the main stage. 

  • 1 member needs to be present in person to present on the main stage, Sunday April 14th
  • There are no bounties for this track
  • Submit project to be selected in the OtterTrack

Privacy and Security Tracks 🔒💰

  • By hacking in this tracks your project is eligible in the Quadratic Funding Round


Submission Guidelines 📝

You have to create your project on TAIKAI for submission before Sunday May 11th at 10:00 ⚠️. Every team should have at least one member present at the venue by submission time in order to present their project.

To create a project in TAIKAI follow this steps:

  • Use the "Create Project" button
  • Add your team members
  • To select the track and bounties you are applying, modify the categories of the project.
  • Edit the project. Be sure to follow the Submission Template (scroll to the bottom of this page to see it)
  • Publish the project with the "Publish" button
