<p><strong>Today more than half of the world&rsquo;s population lives in cities and it is expected that by 2050 more than 2/3 of the global population will live in urban environments.</strong> As urban density increases, it brings a degradation of the quality of life, because of urban sprawl and traffic congestion, commuting has become a time sink and a major factor of air pollution. This reality will require a new approach to city development, bringing us the concept of Smart Cities.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>A Smart City integrates digital technology, data, and services to improve the city efficiency, a better quality of life, sustainability of natural resources, efficient and reliable infrastructure and services.
