<p><strong>Today more than half of the world&rsquo;s population lives in cities and it is expected that by 2050 more than 2/3 of the global population will live in urban environments.</strong> As urban density increases, it brings a degradation of the quality of life, because of urban sprawl and traffic congestion, commuting has become a time sink and a major factor of air pollution.
