Hacking, rules and submission⚠️ The hackathon starts on Friday April 12th at 12:00 CET⚠️ The submission deadline through the TAIKAI platform is April 14th at 12:00 CET ETHDam Hacking Rules 📜<ul><li>ETHDam is happening IRL </li><li>You cannot copy, use or submit another team's source code;</li><li>The decision of judges is final in the determination of prizes and awards;</li><li>Bounties are in the hands of our hackathon partners, which need to reward all hackers max 2 weeks after ETHDam; </li><li>All code for projects must be written during the event, there can be no previously written code submitted to the judging process;</li><li>All participants must hold a valid hacker ticket for ETHDam for their submission to be considered;</li><li>Please comply with all instructions provided by ETHDam organizers and volunteers, and respect our <a href="https://www.ethdam.com/general-5" target="_blank">Code of Conduct</a></li></ul>Minimum requirements to be judged   <ul><li>A link to the open-source code;</li><li>A short demo video and/or presentation to describe the goal and use case of your project and to be used during the Pitches;</li><li>If applicable, the contract address(es) and/or website urls of your deployed demo/presentation must be provided, either on a testnet of your choice or mainnet of a platform of choice </li></ul>The Otter Track  🦦Otter Track is dedicated to existing projects. <h2>HACKATHON FAQ</h2><h3>What's the hackathon timeline?</h3>Friday 15th of March - online<ul><li>14:00 CET - Pre Hackathon - learn about our partners and bounties </li></ul>Friday 12th of April - in person<ul><li>12:00 Hacker Speed Dating &amp; Hackathon Launch </li></ul>Sunday 14th of April- in person<ul><li>12:00 Submission Deadline </li><li>17:00 Closing Ceremony Results </li><li>20:00 After Party</li></ul><h3>Can I hack remotely?</h3>All team members have to be present, IRL at the venue. This does not apply to the Otter Track, as only 1 person from the team needs to be present on the main stage, April 14th<h3>Do I need to buy a ticket to hack? </h3>No, as a hacker you do not need to buy a conference ticket, you will have free access to all of ETHDam's talks and food.  We will send you a voucher to redeem your Hacker Ticket, once you've been approved to hack and we airdrop the hacker tickets. <h3> What is the Otter Track? 🦦</h3>Otter Track is dedicated to existing projects. During the hackathon, you must add a feature, giving you the chance to present a polished project on the main stage. <ul><li style="text-align:left;margin-left:3em">Present on stage a polished product on Sunday 14th of April </li><li style="text-align:left;margin-left:3em">Bounties do not apply to this track</li></ul><h3> What platform are you using for the hackathon?</h3>We are using Taikai and <a href="https://discord.gg/XJVjpCqQBz" target="_blank">Discord</a> to keep track of all the cats. <h3>Can I crash at the location? </h3>Yes, however, crashing is reserved exclusively for hackers, which will be able to hack all night at the venue. Wristbands will be checked, regular attendees will be politely asked to vacate the premises 👀 <h2>ATTENDING</h2><h3>Who can attend?</h3>We are happy to see all kinds of crypto-folk at our event, but the priority will be given to Privacy and Security buidlers.If you are under 18 at the time of the event, you are allowed to participate, but your parent/legal guardian must agree to our application waiver. For under 18 application please shoot us a personal email at hello@cryptocanal.org so we can assist you.<h3>How much does ETHDam cost to attend?</h3>The ETHDam Conference and Hackathon is free to attend for all approved hackers, speakers, mentors and volunteers. IF NOT HACKING - Early bird attendee tickets will go on sale early December 2023.<h3>How long until my application is processed?</h3>We are working hard to be as fast as we can but we are only human (and our in house guinea pig, although she is only in charge of moral support). Please be patient!To complain about the wait feel free to seek support on our Discord or Telegram community. Or just silently cry in your pillow at midnight, like the rest of us.<h3>I was accepted to ETHDam, can I bring my mum, or my mates, or my mates mum?</h3>No. All applicants must apply individually, whether to attend or to hack.<h3>Do I get a participation certificate at the end?</h3>Have you heard of POAPs? You will be able to claim yours at the conference, spot the tablets and scan and redeem your unique "NFT"<h3>I was selected but can't attend the event, what do I do?</h3>Please let us know. Spots are limited and it would be nice if another candidate could go instead.
