Search and rescue (including trekkers, mountain climbers, vessels at sea) and medical emergencies (such as anaphylaxis, diabetic shock, coronary conditions, and snake venom bites) happen anytime, anywhere and in all environmental conditions. The most important factor in all cases is time and being able to deliver initial backup as rapidly as possible.
Urgent medical aid drone deliveries could significantly enhance the rapid response capabilities of first responders/search & rescue providing help in 20-30 km range without the need to suffer traffic jams or cover areas with sparse road networks. First responders always prioritize calls based on the danger level to the patient. The usage of drones can help to alleviate the burden to the system and enhance the response capacity.
Using AAA Alert (geo-positional telecoms alert device for real time location/information link) with an emergency medical supply drone network for rapid delivery. The patient/field medic/emergency would activate the AAA Alert system signalling the type of emergency and the medical aid backup required. This would automatically summon the loaded drone.
Highlight the data, information or signals you are using/intend to use in your idea. Include some information on how this brings value to your idea
Using the accuracy of GNSS and EO from Copernicus, the drones will rapidly find the patient, delivering the medical aid and give the required information (eg topography) to responders to give the best possible route to site (if they are required). There is also an increased safety benefit for the responders with the local information they will receive.
Which of the 3 challenges are you solving, and how does this contribute to solving the problems faced in finance, insurance and investments?
