Description

Our goal is to establish a virtual green power plant owned by the society through tokenization of renewable energy systems. This virtual green power plant distributes its revenues to the people, allowing everybody to participate in the green energy transition and profit from it. Together we actively drive the adoption of renewable energy and give the responsibility over our energy to the people instead of enterprises.

In this hackathon we want to provide a prototype implementation to tokenize a renewable energy system and add it to a virtual green power plant (VGPP) on Rootstock. Its revenues are distributed in the form of tokens to the owners of the VGPP. It will consists of a single, simple solar system which is not connected to the grid. The produced electrical energy will be sold to a simulated customer, but there are real electrical consumer loads.

We use the following hardware in the system: 

- Two solar panels each 100W

- A 1000W Inverter

- A 240Ah Battery

- A Batteray Load Controller 

- Measuring Equipment

- Blockchian Gateway

- Cables and Clamps


Deliverables: 

- Smart Contract to tokenize the solar system and add it to the virtual green power plant

- Front-End Dashboard to show relevant energy data and view earned rewards (claiming the rewards is not in the scope).
