<h2>What is Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon?</h2><p>Polkastarter NFT HACKATHON, powered by Blokness is a hybrid hackathon taking place in Lisbon or online from the 11th to the 13th of November.</p><p>Polkastarter partnered with Blokness - an NFT data solution, to help you build and scale your apps and products without the need to connect directly to and parse the blockchain data. You can develop your submission about NFTs without needing new knowledge about blockchain technology.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>Who can attend Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon?</h2><p>Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon is targeted at creative minds with a hacker spirit (in the classical definition of the word). Anyone with a technical profile is welcome to apply, not only engineers (eg. web designers are welcome too).</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>How are applicants selected?</h2><p>Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon curators aim at selecting the best, most participative and motivated, programmers and creatives. For this, candidates must fill in the registration form so we can evaluate and select the best people to join the event.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>How much does it cost?</h2><p>Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon is free for all selected candidates.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>Can I register our company employees in bulk?</h2><p>No. Candidates must register and apply individually and mention on the registration form who are the other team members. All team members must fill in the registration form.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>Can I bring a guest to the event?</h2><p>No. All attendees must apply to the event individually.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>I was selected but can't attend the event, what do I do?</h2><p>Please let us know. Spots are limited and it would be nice if another candidate could go instead (but no, you cannot choose who that candidate might be).</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>When will the schedule be available?</h2><p>A detailed schedule will be available closer to the event, on our website.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>Why is the official language English?</h2><p>Although most of our participants are from Portugal and the event is located in Lisbon we have attendees coming from all over the world and participating online. English is usually well understood and accepted. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>Since english is the official language, should my talk be given in english?</h2><p>English is the official language, yes, but it's optional for participants and speakers. If you're not comfortable (enough) with delivering a talk in english, you can choose to deliver it in portuguese instead. You could also choose Klingon, or Goa'uld, but it makes sense to choose a language that at least a few people in the audience would be able to understand… ;)</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>I am interested in exhibiting or becoming a sponsor, what do I do?</h2><p>If you are interested in sponsoring Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon, please contact us at for a prospectus and sponsorship application instructions.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>I'm a tech guy but I also do recruiting. Is it OK if I talk to someone at Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon to see if they're interested in working with me?</h2><p>You cannot engage in direct recruitment activities during Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon. This is one of the core rules of the event. The attendees don't enjoy unsolicited targeting, and we don't want to turn the event into a battlefield for hires. Trust us, it's better for you, not only for attendees. Having said this, it's OK if the interest is mutual and both parties want to talk (meaning the attendee approaches you). It's definitely NOT OK if you're preaching to the crowd or fishing around for interest.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>Can I leave a few flyers on the tables to advertise my group/event/company?</h2><p>That would depend on what you're advertising. The only hard rule on this is that you talk to us first at .</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>Can I participate remotely?</h2><p>Absolutely. <h2>Polkastarter x Blokness NFT Hackathon</h2><p><br /></p><p>This November, Polkastarter partnered with Blokness, an NFT data API platform, to create a Hackathon event with unbelievable prizes and unlimited potential for innovation.</p><p><br /></p><p>The initiative aims to push developers, people, projects, and enthusiasts to leverage the power of blockchain NFT technology without the need for extensive knowledge or experience. If the time allows it we can do a short Q&amp;A session to address any initial thoughts.</p><p><br /></p><h3>3- Hacking starts 💻</h3><p><strong>⏰ When: November 11th, 10:00 AM</strong></p><p>The magic starts at 10am. Participants will be allowed to start building their projects at this point.</p><p><br /></p><h3>4- Submission Deadline 🏁</h3><p><strong>⏰ When: November 13th, 16:00 PM</strong></p><p>⚠️ Your project needs to be created and published on TAIKAI’s platform: <a href="https://taikai.network/polkastarter/hackathons/polkastarter-x-blokness-nft-hackathon" target="_blank">LINK HERE</a> for submission before November 13th, 16:00 PM .
Every team should have at least one member online and available to present their project or answer any question from the juries.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><h2>🧑‍💻 🚀 Submission details</h2><p>In order to accept your project as a valid submission you must complete your project details.</p><p><br /></p><h3>The submission must consist of:</h3><ul><li>Project/Team name;</li><li>2 line description about the project;</li><li>1 Taikai/Telegram username for the team’s person of contact;</li><li>Repository with project’s code;</li><li>Video demo (max 5 minutes) or a presentation deck (max 10 slides)</li><li>Optional: the contract address(es) or website URLs of your deployed application, either on a testnet of your choice or mainnet of a platform of choice.</li></ul><h3>🚨 Only fully submitted projects will be considered for the main hackathon prize</h3><h3>🚨 Don’t miss the deadline!
