ShikshaRise — Together, Every Learner Rises

ShikshaRise is an AI-enabled, community-powered platform designed to help learners continue and complete their education when they face barriers such as financial hardship, limited access to learning resources, lack of guidance, or other challenges. The platform aims to connect students in need with a supportive network of community members, educators, NGOs, mentors, and resource providers. Through ShikshaRise, community members can refer learners who may need assistance. Following a human-led verification process, the platform helps coordinate appropriate support, such as educational materials, devices, financial assistance, transportation, tutoring, mentorship, and scholarship guidance. It also enables contributors and authorized coordinators to track support activities and follow up on learner outcomes. We plan to use AI to assist with referral summarization, identifying potential support needs, organizing case information, and suggesting relevant resources or next steps. AI will serve as an assistant to the coordination process—not as the final decision-maker for verification, eligibility, or support allocation. Human oversight, privacy, and responsible handling of learner information will remain central to the solution. The platform will be developed using OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) for application development, data management, dashboards, and workflow automation. We also plan to explore OutSystems Agentic AI for bounded workflow assistance, alongside relevant Microsoft AI and AWS AI services available through the hackathon, to enhance information processing and support coordination. Our goal is to make educational support more accessible, coordinated, and measurable, while encouraging meaningful community contributions and focusing on learners’ long-term educational progress.
