Food arrives from multiple donors and suppliers. All products must be handled according to strict food safety regulations. Every week, currently 171 families depend on the food bank IJmond for essential food support. Food bank IJmond supports four municipals in the region.
Each household receives a food crate based on its size (currently small or large). But how do we ensure every crate is nutritious, fair, and sustainable? This is where AI makes the difference.
Vision
An AI-powered platform which can:
- Advice on required product donations for the best balanced food package
- Advice on products based on shelf-life, without relying on supply-chain management software or large time consuming administrations
- Automatically convert available inventory into balanced food packages aligned with healthy nutrition guidelines.
