Raygen Protocol leverages the appeal of fashion and the power of blockchain to drive societal change toward more sustainable and regenerative practices. We introduce RAVE (Real Asset Virtually Extended) assets, starting with custom shoes as a tangible, impactful example.

Canisters smart contract on ICP function like mini servers/computers and cost only approx. 50 cents to be spawned. Their affordability and versatility allow us to connect one canister to one real-world asset, making each asset a digital twin.

We began by creating individual canisters for custom shoes. Each shoe is equipped with an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip, the same technology used in payment cards. The URL of the canister is encoded into the NFC tag.

How It Works:

• NFC Chip: Each shoe has an NFC chip that contains the URL of its corresponding canister among other informations for security.
• Simple Scanning: Scanning the NFC tag with any smartphone redirects to the canister smart contract that verify the authenticity of the scan.
• Authentication: This process verifies the authenticity of the scan (thus of the shoe), providing a secure and immutable verification mechanism. ICP is the only blockchain where this fully secure authentication is possible, from the NFC tag to the smart contract.

This integration offers a user-friendly experience, allowing anyone to interact with the blockchain effortlessly by simply scanning an NFC tag with their smartphone.
