MediaComb

Everyone is well aware that social media has taken over the internet and the world. There is nothing that draws more attention from people anymore. We all know about Twitter/X, Reddit, and even LinkedIn. No matter how good these applications are at retaining your attention, after an extended period of time, you would feel like it’s becoming more and more agonizing because the posts stop providing you with the novelty of when you first opened it. That’s why we made MediaComb. MediaComb combines the media across many popular social media platforms by using Oauth and pulling data from their APIs. The data is then processed and visualized so you can see them on one dashboard. We built our project by making the backend and researching both mongoDB as well as how to work with the APIs of the social media. The challenges we ran into consisted of a lot of github problems but also properly getting the data from the APIs. At the end of the challenge, we were just glad to learn new things.
