I'm Pedro Carneiro, I'm 27 years old and I'm from Braga.

I graduated in Computers Science at University of Minho.

Currently, I work as CTO of Healthium, a startup located in Braga that I co-founded last year alongside with other three friends.

Healthium is a technological company dedicated to the health sector, as it's name suggests, and its main goal is to develop technological products that improve the follow-up between professionals and their patients.Our first product is Nutrium (https://nutrium.io/), a software for dietitans and for their patients that aims to improve and enhance the nutritional follow-up between them in the period between appointments.Nutrium is composed of two types of applications: a web app for the professionals and a mobile app for the patients, currently available for Android and iOS.

Relatively to the technologies that we use to develop Nutrium, for the web app we use Ruby and Ruby on Rails on the backend and, as expected, the traditional trio for the frontend (HTML, CSS and JS).As for the mobile applications in Android we use Java and in iOS we use Swift.

I participated already in events similar to this one, such as Codebits.It was an amazing experience and I tried to listen and participate in as many talks as I could.

While I was studying at university, I also was highly involved in CeSIUM, the students association of Computers Science course.There I have the opportunity to be the director of CAOS, a department of CeSIUM that develops open source software and organizes talks and workshops about new technologies.

My main interests are reading, listening music, run and watch sports.
