I am relatively new to the coding world, but have contemplated the switch for a number of years now. In October 2018, I finally decided to make the jump, quitting my job as an underwriter in the London insurance market to move to this beautiful city of Lisbon and attend Le Wagon; an intensive full stack coding bootcamp aimed at bringing a complete newbie to the level of Junior Developer in just 9 weeks. The bootcamp was Ruby focused. However, as someone who has always been up for a challenge, I decided that I'd like my first job to be using Python, and was lucky enough to be employed by advertio, a start up based within the Bright Pixel incubator.

I couldn't be happier with how my career change has gone and am very excited for what is still yet to come!
