Before reading the Rules of this Challenge, we kindly advise you to check our General User Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of the TAIKAI Platform.
For his/her Registration to the Challenge, each participant must open a user account on taikai.network and must indicate the following:
Registrants must accept TAIKAI’s General Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy and opt in to these Challenge Rules.
Incomplete or inaccurate registrations may result in disqualification.
The Challenge will take place according to the following timeline:
Registration: November 20 – December 4, 2024
Participant Invitations: December 5, 2024
Hackathon (Building Phase): December 8 – 24, 2024
Submission Deadline: December 24, 2024
Winners Announced: January 2026
A GitHub repository containing the code (open-source under MIT license)
A working prototype
A video with a demo, a proper README file and applicable documentation.
Incomplete or unreadable submissions may be disqualified.
Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges appointed by Kraken

A total prize pool of $15,000 USDG will be awarded across all tracks
🏆 Honorable Mention: $3,000 USDG - awarded to a standout project selected from all tracks.
Prizes will be awarded in USDG stablecoin and credited directly to a verified Kraken account.

Top participants will also receive an invitation for a fast-tracked interview process for engineering roles at Kraken to join one of the most advanced teams in the fintech industry!
All code and materials submitted must be open source under the MIT License.
Participants retain ownership of their submissions.
Kraken may review, feature, or reference the projects (including screenshots or descriptions) for promotional or community purposes, with attribution to the creators.
Participants must ensure their work does not infringe third-party rights.
Any non-public information shared by Kraken during the Challenge must be treated as confidential and not disclosed outside the scope of participation. This confidentiality obligation extends for five (5) years after the Challenge concludes.

Kraken reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Challenge in cases of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances without liability or compensation to participants.
