Ivy Akii is a young African social entrepreneur passionate about transforming the lives of young women. She collaborates with like-minded organizations as an advisor, facilitator, speaker, and mentor to inspire young people to be leaders in the entrepreneurial space.
Ivy is the co-founder of I'm Baobab company that supports eco-friendly innovations in Kenya and Sae Company in South Korea which is focused on providing inclusive and sustainable societal solutions using digital platforms. She is a co-founder of Beleven Company in Spain and the USA where she served as the company's 2nd CEO and 1st lady CEO.
She is a co-creator of various community and social impact projects such as developing a societal platform to enable NEETs in the Global South and Marginal North better quality education, the Ankara Notebooks which focused on utilizing waste fabric to create aesthetic value on notebooks; Hex6 for sustainable fashion; The Covi for COVID-19 advocacy; Gingko for teenage pregnancy awareness, and; Azania for recycling plastics to the fabric-circular economy.
Ivy is an accomplished young leader in the World Organization of Scout Movement. Before joining the University of Mondragon, Bilbao, in Spain to pursue a European degree in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, and a postgraduate in International Team Coaching and Innovation, Ivy pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sociology at the University of Nairobi.
