Rules and Code of Conduct Before reading the Rules of this Challenge, we kindly advise you to check our General User Terms &amp; Conditions and Privacy Policy of the TAIKAI Platform. <h3>Hackathon Rules</h3>1. Team Composition<ul><li>Teams can have 1 to 5 members.</li><li>You can register solo, or find a team via the TAIKAI platform or telegram group coordination.</li></ul> 2. Project Requirements<ul><li>All code must be written during the hackathon (June 15–21).</li><li>Open-source submissions only – hosted publicly on GitHub.</li><li>A clear Project Description is required, with:<ul><li>Description of the problem solved</li><li>Setup instructions</li><li>Network State relevance</li><li>Live demo link (if applicable)</li> </ul></li></ul>3. Chain &amp; Tools<ul><li>You can build on any chain, but we encourage use of Base, Optimism, or Solana.</li><li>Integrating relevant governance protocols, identity primitives, or public goods infra is encouraged.</li></ul> 4. Intellectual Property<ul><li>All submissions remain the intellectual property of the creators.</li><li>By participating, you agree to allow organizers to showcase your project (with credit) in recap materials, social posts, and potential follow-up programs.</li></ul> 5. Judging Criteria<ul><li>Relevance to Network States and decentralized cities</li><li>Originality of idea</li><li>Technical Execution and quality of code</li><li>UX/UI and usability</li><li>Real-world potential or long-term vision</li></ul> <h3>Code of Conduct</h3>This hackathon is a space for builders, not bad actors. We uphold the following standards for all participants, mentors, judges, and partners: 1. Be Respectful<ul><li>Treat others with kindness. No harassment, discrimination, or exclusion of any kind will be tolerated.</li></ul> 2. Be Collaborative<ul><li>Share ideas freely, help each other, and embrace feedback.</li><li>Plagiarism or copying another team’s work will result in disqualification.</li></ul> 3. Be Transparent<ul><li>Use open-source tools and give credit where due.</li><li>Clearly disclose any use of pre-existing codebases or boilerplates.</li></ul> 4. Be Intentional<ul><li>Build projects that reflect the values of decentralization, transparency, and empowerment.</li><li>No scammy tokens, ponzinomics, or malicious smart contracts.</li></ul> 5. Report Issues<ul><li>Any violations or disputes can be reported privately to organizers via telegram or email.</li><li>Violators may be removed from the event and banned from future participation.</li></ul>

The event is hybrid — remote participation is fully supported. <h3>Is it free to join?</h3>Yes. Participation in the DeSci Builders Hackathon is 100% free. <h3>Do I need to be in Infinita City to participate?</h3>No. You can participate remotely from anywhere.  <h3>Can I join solo or do I need a team?</h3>Both options are valid. You can register individually and either build solo or find teammates via the TAIKAI platform or <a href="http://infinita.city/hackathon-telegram" target="_blank">telegram group</a>. <h3>What can I build?</h3>Anything that aligns with the theme: building on-chain tools and infrastructure for biotech, longevity, and DeSci.
