The ETHPorto hackathon was home to over 260 developers between the 16 and 18th of March. The competition brought together some of the brightest minds in the blockchain community to work on innovative solutions and projects, as participants competed for a chance to win prizes, bragging rights, and perhaps most importantly, the satisfaction of creating something truly awesome. And let's be honest, who doesn't want to spend a weekend coding away and competing with their peers? In this article, we'll be taking a look at some of the standout projects from the hackathon. From decentralized marketplaces to sustainable energy solutions, there was no shortage of creativity on display.*So grab your coffee (or your preferred energy drink), settle in, and let's dive into some of the coolest projects to come out of ETHPorto!* This list was developed to work, essentially, as a sample of the different projects created during the ETHPorto hackathon. We would have liked to have included many other projects, but the article would have been too long. Even so, our congratulations to everyone who dedicated these 3 days to developing at ETHPorto. You guys rock!Bundler WalletWe're starting off the list with nonother than the winning project of the ETHPorto hackathon - Bundler Wallet! Bundler Wallet offers a privacy-enabled and web2 authenticated smart wallet for access to any Web3 dApp. This innovative wallet uses the new EIP-4337 to allow users without Ethereum addresses to make transactions to their smart contract wallets, which is a significant advancement in accessibility. To ensure privacy and security, Bundler Wallet uses Sismo Vaults and zk proofs to privately connect web2 accounts to the bundler wallet contract that each user deploys. This allows users to authenticate securely into a smart wallet and request transactions without needing a private key, which is a major advantage for those who may not be familiar with the intricacies of blockchain technology.Key takeawaysBundler Wallet is an exciting new project that won our hearts (and juries alike) because it offers an innovative solution to one of the main challenges facing the adoption of blockchain technology - accessibility. By making it easier for anyone to access and use smart wallets, Bundler Wallet has the potential to drive widespread adoption of Web3 dApps and help bring blockchain technology to the masses.AbuseTotal AbuseTotal is a project that aims to be the world's leading platform to report malicious links, providing incentives for all users and organizations including security researchers, hosting providers, and companies. It offers Reputation Tokens as incentives to users for submitting valid reports of malicious links, which increases their reputation score. Users can report malicious links and phishing attempts by providing the malicious link and the organization that is being impersonated. The platform also allows users to validate reports submitted by others, which increases the confidence level of the report and earns them Reputation Tokens. If someone reports a legitimate website as malicious, the organization being affected is notified and the community downvotes the report, resulting in a loss of reputation for the user who made the bad report.Action Flow chartAbuseTotal ensures that the threat is removed from the internet by working with hosting and nameserver providers, as well as domain registrars to block the threat and remove the malicious content from their systems. The organization that is being impersonated puts a reward, known as a Bounty Token, for providers taking action. The reward value decreases over time to incentivize providers to take action quickly.AbuseTotal takes a fee on each bounty transaction and allows organizations to load multiple bounty rewards ready to be deployed in one transaction. Organizations can define a default bounty reward that will be withdrawn from their bounty rewards pool for each report related to their organization, thereby speeding up the bounty reward deployment.Key takeawaysAbuseTotal is a platform that rewards users and organizations for reporting and eliminating malicious links from the web, thus providing a more secure online environment for everyone.LayerX was the perfect fit for AbuseTotal, as it offers two premier products - dappKit and Bepro Network's bounty platform. These components enabled the team behind the project to create a powerful system that delivers results quickly and efficiently.topMantletopMantle project is a decentralized NFT marketplace built on Mantle that enables NFT-to-token swaps using bonding curves. This platform allows liquidity providers (LPs) to deposit assets into single-sided buy or sell pools, or into dual-sided trade pools that can buy and sell NFTs.One of the unique features of topMantle is that it treats all ERC721 IDs equally. Regardless of which NFT is sent in or out from the collection, the buy or sell price will remain the same for the pool.Bridging the gap between communitiesSo how does it work?LPs can deposit NFTs and/or an ERC20 token into liquidity pools, select the type of pool, and specify a starting price and bonding curve. Users can then buy or sell NFTs from or into these pools, causing the price for the pool to change based on the bonding curve. LPs can adjust their pool parameters or withdraw assets at any time. The platform uses various bonding curves (such as linear, exponential, and constant-product) to determine the relative price at which one asset is traded for another. To demonstrate the capabilities of topMantle, three collections of NFTs were deployed on the Mantle Blockchain, using generative artificial intelligence called DALL-E to create unique images. These collections are Queens of Damnation, Capybara birthday, and Faces of truth. Faces of truth CollectionIn addition, an ERC20 token called MantleMonke was created, along with a stablecoin called BITUSD, whose emission is dictated by the BIT/USD pair price retrieved from the Goerli testnet using the Pyth off-chain price feed oracle.topMantleNFT also integrates a system to contribute part of its earned fees towards public goods previously voted by the community. Currently, the initiative supports the ByeByePlastic Foundation, which aims to reduce plastic usage. Donations can be made to the initiative using the provided wallet address.Key takeawaystopMantleNFT goal was to build an NFT-DeFi ecosystem on top of Mantle while also promoting responsible governance and supporting meaningful initiatives for a better future. The team responsible for the project achieved impressive results in a such short span of time, and that's what made this project so exceptional.regenMeUpregenMeUp is a decentralized application that aims to fight climate change, one of the most pressing issues of our time. It is built on top of dappKit and rocketKit and utilizes the power of a decentralized "regen army" to take on this global challenge. In regenMeUp, users can participate in various regenerative activities to fight climate change. These efforts are validated by "regen punks," who then allow the army to vote on the user's reputation. Once the user receives two positive votes, they will earn a regen punk badge and a basic regen allowance as a reward for their contribution to the cause. The user interface of regenMeUp is designed like a game, with good guys, bad guys, rewards, and badges. By engaging in regenerative activities and earning badges, users can have fun while contributing to the fight against climate change.Key takeawaysThe applicability of the project is truly commendable. regenMeUp aims to fight climate change by utilizing blockchain and DeFi technology, incentivizing users to take part in regen activities. The project is well-designed, with a reward system, motivating users to become actively involved in helping the environment and enjoy the rewards for their efforts at the same time. In addition, it also highlights how blockchain and DeFi can be used for social good, which could pave the way for more projects of this nature.GumruaGumrua is a Gumroad-like platform built on crypto. It aims to provide an easy-to-use platform for selling digital goods and educational content on the web3. The platform is built on ERC1155 contract, where listing a product creates a new token. Buying a product mints a soulbound NFT that gives access to the content. They use web2 storage and create links that only work for 1 minute with NFT ownership validated server-side to gate access to the content. The platform uses next-auth, siwe, supabase, and rainbowkit to make the selling process easier. Users can access real-world on and off-ramps via integration with Monerium and Safe SDK.By earning in crypto, users don't need to wait for onramps, use KYC or get permission from the government to sell their goods. The platform offers bounties, such as the Euro Ramp App bounty for the best possible user experience and an IBAN off-ramp with Monerium to get earnings directly in your bank account. The platform also offers NFT minting, gating, and purchases to power the sales process and enhance the composable NFT ecosystem. Gumrua has nearly invisible fees, a fast interface, and a mobile-friendly UX that leverages web2 systems on purpose to let the tech get out of the way of the user's goal. The platform's importance lies in its ability to fuel financial freedom and simplify the process of selling digital goods and monetizing skills. It also allows users to earn in crypto without the need of onramps or government permission. Key takeawaysGumrua is an exciting project because provides users with a variety of features and tools, such as token minting, gating, and purchases that enhance the composable NFT ecosystem.
