Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply:
Both individual builders and teams are welcome to apply for the RaNd0M Aptos Hack. While teamwork is encouraged, individual talents are equally valued.
To form a team for the hackathon, each individual member must first apply and be accepted into the Aptos RaNd0M Hackathon. The deadline for all applications is February 14. In your application, ensure to include the same link to a shared Google Doc with your project proposal. This consistency is key to conveying your team's joint vision for the project.
Once accepted, the Project Lead should create the project on the hackathon platform. After the project is established, the Project Lead can invite the other accepted team members to join this project on the platform. Keep in mind, you will receive an email notification if you’ve been accepted to participate in the Aptos RaNd0M Hack, after which you can proceed with these steps.
We’re seeking teams that can fully realize their vision on the Aptos Mainnet. Ideal candidates are those with a robust full-stack development skill set for dApp creation, coupled with marketing and product development expertise to craft compelling go-to-market strategies.
After applying, you'll receive a confirmation email from TAIKAI. Accepted applicants will be notified on a rolling basis. Those not selected will be informed via email after the application period closes.
Participants have access to comprehensive resources to aid in the development of their hackathon project, whether you’re a new developer, new to Aptos, or a seasoned builder.
For a comprehensive overview and access to these resources, please visit the Resources tab.
While there’s no specific type of dApp required, all projects are required to incorporate the use of Aptos Roll (Aptos' randomness API) into their final submission. As long as you make use of this feature in some way, we encourage innovative and novel ideas. Refer to the prizing and judging criteria for guidance, but feel free to explore creative and unique concepts.
Your project must be officially created on the TAIKAI platform by the Mid-Hack Check-In on February 29. However, we strongly encourage you to create your project before this deadline. The initial project creation is crucial for your team to be considered in the competition.
You are allowed and encouraged to continue refining, editing, and updating your project up until the final deliverables deadline on March 22. This flexibility ensures that your team can incorporate feedback, make necessary adjustments, and polish your project to best reflect your vision and capabilities.
During the Midway Check-ins, teams are expected to demonstrate their progress towards their project goals. This includes showcasing a working codebase, any design elements, or a demo of the project. The purpose of these check-ins is to ensure that teams are on the right track and making tangible progress. It's an opportunity for teams to receive feedback and guidance, helping them refine and improve their projects as they prepare for the final submission. Showcasing substantial progress in these areas is crucial for staying aligned with the hackathon's objectives and timelines.
When you submit your project for the Aptos RaNd0M Hackathon, the following deliverables are required:
