Team
Our team consists out of five people, out of whom all are studying environmental engineering on the techical university of Vienna. Because our studies has many different focal points, our team retains diverse expertise. We possess wide knowledge in geodata processing, water quality management and remote sensing.
EU Space for Water
Our team has chosen the second challange, which is based on the polution of the water systems. Many different companies and people polute our water systems every day, either concious or unconcious, and face no consequences for their actions. This is where we jump in.
Idea
In every country there are regulations on the quality of the flowing water which ensure the health and safety of the environment. When there are illegal waste water pipes from factories, or accidental contaminated water discharge in the natural water system there is a risk to the ecosystem. Our idea is to monitor the satellite data along certian rivers and track the quality of the water.
