Description

💎 Idea

SaveSpot is a system to enhance public awareness of available shelters and assembly points during emergencies, integrated with the government application mObywatel. The system will utilize a predictive model to forecast potential hazards based on meteorological, seismological, and other data, providing users with early warnings and action recommendations. In confirmed danger scenarios, it will identify the nearest assistance points, dynamically map routes to them while accounting for current conditions, and send a Google Maps link with the route. Integration with mObywatel will streamline the registration process at assembly points and deliver alerts directly via notifications. The system aims to improve crisis response and enhance public safety.

🛰️ EU space technologies

Copernicus (Sentinel-2, Sentinel-5): Provides real-time  flood, air pollution etc. mapping, hazard predictions, and terrain analysis, ensuring precise evacuation guidance and disaster impact assessments.

Galileo Navigation System: Offers high-accuracy, offline navigation and dynamic rerouting based on real-time hazard updates, ensuring users can safely reach shelters.

Local Shelter Databases: Tracks real-time shelter availability and capacity, optimizing resource distribution and reducing overcrowding.

🛰️ EU Space for Defence and Security

We are solving Challenge #1: Enhancing Defence & Security with Geospatial Intelligence by leveraging Copernicus, Sentinel, and Galileo data to provide real-time shelter locations, threat reporting, and safe route guidance. This enhances crisis management, strengthens EU preparedness, and demonstrates the value of geospatial intelligence in public and national security.
