I am a Scientist, a Biological Engineer, with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Computational Biology. Currently, I am managing the Microscopy Platform at a research institute in Lisbon where I work in the fields of Computer vision, Microscopy, Arduino, Image processing, Machine and Deep Learning. Here I'm developing new software tools and new approaches to tackle biomedical problems, such as vision loss.

I am and always will be a proud geek for technology, everything from computers/mobile phones/gadgets to the internet of things and AI. Apart from technology I am a Board Games and Photography aficionado, two great ways to connect to people and nature respectively.
