João Pedro Pereira@joaoppereira

João is a Electrical Engineer specialised in telecommunications with strong interest in crafting software. His professional experience range from several academic and professional software engineering projects by itself or working for big companies as Rocket Internet.

Currently working as Head of Engineering @ Barkyn .

In the past João was a Researcher @ IT regarding Mobility Patterns, and was a Senior Developer @ Rocket Internet (Porto Tech Center), participated in Takeoff Sapo Codebits 2008-2010 editions. In Sapo Codebits 2010 João gave a talk entitled "Secure your website, is it that difficult?" (https://codebits.eu/intra/s/session/127).

João also contributed to the community as a writer in Revista PROGRAMAR (http://www.revista-programar.info/front/member/26), administrator of Wiki P@P (http://wiki.portugal-a-programar.pt/)and moderator of Portugal-a-Programar (http://portugal-a-programar.pt/).
