IAHD Lifestyle Evolution Hackathon

Welcome to the International Association of Honored Developers Lifestyle Evolution Hackathon.

The Challenge

The scope of this hackathon is to build projects that harness technology to improve various aspects of lifestyle, including health, home management, leisure, and personal productivity. Participants must enter the competition in teams with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4 team members. Entries for all hackers will be free of charge. You can always build whatever you like, but adhering to the following theme would be great.

Industry: Lifestyle

Problem area: Create practical and innovative solutions that address common lifestyle challenges, enhance personal well-being, and simplify daily routines.

Participants can explore various aspects of web accessibility, including, but not limited to:

• Health and Wellness: Be Well. Live WellDevelop apps that promote mental and physical well-being, from meditation apps to fitness trackers that adapt to user's lifestyle and feedback.
• Smart Home Solutions: Home Smart HomeInnovate in the realm of IoT to develop applications that make home management more efficient, such as automated climate control, security enhancements, or smart kitchen tools.
• Personal Productivity Enhancers: Productivity at Your FingertipsCreate tools that help users manage their time better, automate tasks, and enhance focus, tailored to various professional and personal environments.
• Sustainable Living: Green Tech, Green PlanetEncourage the development of apps that help users reduce their environmental impact through smart resource management, sustainable habits, and green living tips.
• Entertainment and Leisure: Play. Explore. ExperienceDesign applications that revolutionize how users engage with hobbies and leisure activities, from augmented reality experiences to personalized travel planning.
• Financial Management: Your Finance, Smartly ManagedBuild intuitive tools that assist individuals in budgeting, investing, and managing personal finances more effectively, with features like automated savings and spending trackers.

Hackathon Schedule 

• Teams will have 3 days to build their projects. 
• Registration ends for applicants on 22 June 24.           
• The Hackathon will kickstart from the 22nd of June to the 25th of June.                    
• Judges will review, judge, and submit their results from 26th June to 29th June.  
• Winners will be announced on June 30th.

Prize

There will be a $500 main prize pool for the top 3 projects:

• $350 – 1st hacker
• $100– 2nd hacker
• $50– 3rd hacker

Judgment Criteria

1. Completion: Is the hack fully functional, and did the team accomplish its goals? This criterion assesses the project's overall success and achievement, considering its intended functionality and the team's objectives.
2. Adherence to Theme: Does the hack align with the event's theme, and is it fully or partially implemented? Additionally, does it incorporate unique or creative approaches to solving the problem?
3. Learning: Did the team challenge themselves, try to learn something new, and showcase their previous project experience? This aspect highlights the team's growth and willingness to explore new areas.
4. Originality: How unique and creative is the project in solving the problem? Is there an innovative approach or a fresh perspective that sets it apart?
5. Design and Technology: How well-designed is the user experience, and does the hack demonstrate impressive technical solutions, clever techniques, or the use of various components?
6. Quality: Does the project meet high-quality standards? How stable and reliable is it? How many major and critical bugs does it have?
