🟡 Tracks

Data Privacy and Monetization Track

Option 1: An Emailing-Notification dApp

A dApp that fetches on-chain user data (in DeFi for example) and facilitates communication between the owner of an Ethereum address and projects, protocols, or other individuals through Web3Mail.

Option 2: A Web3 Survey Platform

A dApp that uses iExec's DataProtector and Web3Mail tools to enable users to participate and earn rewards by completing surveys or tasks sent by third parties, in a similar fashion to web2 sites like Swagbucks and Ipsos iSay.

DataProtector will be used for the creation and management of secure and encrypted files that store personal data, such as email addresses. Web3Mail should be used to facilitate the sending of surveys to users without revealing their personal data. Additionally, it will require a receiver pool categorization too allow other protocols to contact holders, based on the assets held, without directly accessing the personal data of receivers.

The app should also include a monetization model that rewards receivers when their data pool is accessed. This would facilitate data monetization while maintaining privacy and decentralized identity. Receiver pools should be categorized based on the assets held by receivers. (For example: I launch a DeFi project and I want to send an email to $AAVE holders that are in the DeFi pool).

Oracle Track

A Global Events Prediction Market (ex. upcoming US elections, Sport Events like Olympic Games…) . This DApp uses iExec’s Oracle factory to fetch data from an event.

Freestyle Track

Integrate one or more iExec DevTools into a dApp with existing users or paid customers.

🟡 Deliverables

  • A Github repo with viewable code (open source);
  • A functional front end;
  • A README describing how to install and use the code;

    * Code should be easily executed by our judges.
    * iExec reserves the right to not award a bounty to submissions that do not fulfill the above criteria or the specifications of each track.

Your submissions should meet the following guidelines:

  • Provide a detailed description of your dApp's design and architecture;
  • Submit a working dApp prototype with complete source code, preferably hosted on a public repository (e.g., GitHub);
  • Include comprehensive documentation for setting up, deploying, and using the dApp;
  • A brief demo video showcasing your dApp's functionality;
  • Please note that the bounty prize will cover the costs of hosting the dApp for a year;
  • Ensure originality and adherence to intellectual property rights;
  • If you integrate iExec dev tools into an existing project, you’ll need to specify what has been done on your project before and after the hackathon.

🟡 Judging Criteria

  • The implementation of at least one iExec tool: DataProtector, Web3Mail or Oracle Factory;
  • The UI/UX;
  • The potential for scalability and real-world adoption;
