WHO AM I ?

Hi everyone! My name is Jomy and I am 4th year computer engineering student at Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa. I am specializing on robotics and intelligent systems for my Master's degree because it's the area of computer science that most attracts me and drives me to do interesting projects without get tired of it.

I am also a new-born bioengineering student at Técnico as well. I intend to specialize in nanotechnologies for biomedical applications and later, who knows, try to merge the gap between electronics and biological cells.

EXPERIENCE

On one hand, I was an intern two summers ago doing human-computer interaction work on a e-healthcare system. Me and my co-workers redesigned the entire visual and user experience from scratch - a really immersive and awesome experience. On the other hand, I have had some experience in cardiology and related pathologies in a project were me and my co-workers have designed the architecture of the system of a portable EKG device transmitting live to a hospital computer.

WHAT I LOVE TO DO

I love challenges. If it is impossible, I got a crush on it. Specially the ones involving both my fields of study.

In my free time I ride horses and play the piano. But mostly I don't have free time :)
