Rules and Code of Conduct
Before reading the Rules of this Challenge, we kindly advise you to check our General User Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of the TAIKAI Platform.
1. Team Composition
Teams can have 1 to 5 members.
You can register solo and find a team via the TAIKAI platform or on-site coordination.
At least one team member must be present in Prospera (Roatán) to qualify for local-only bounties.
2. Project Requirements
All code must be written during the hackathon (June 15–21).
Open-source submissions only – hosted publicly on GitHub.
A clear Project Description is required, with:
Description of the problem solved
Setup instructions
Network State relevance
Live demo link (if applicable)
3. Chain & Tools
You can build on any chain, but we encourage use of Base, Optimism, or Solana.
Integrating relevant governance protocols, identity primitives, or public goods infra is encouraged.
4. Intellectual Property
All submissions remain the intellectual property of the creators.
By participating, you agree to allow organizers to showcase your project (with credit) in recap materials, social posts, and potential follow-up programs.
5. Judging Criteria
Relevance to Network States and decentralized cities
Originality of idea
Technical Execution and quality of code
UX/UI and usability
Real-world potential or long-term vision
This hackathon is a space for builders, not bad actors. We uphold the following standards for all participants, mentors, judges, and partners:
1. Be Respectful
Treat others with kindness. No harassment, discrimination, or exclusion of any kind will be tolerated.
2. Be Collaborative
Share ideas freely, help each other, and embrace feedback.
Plagiarism or copying another team’s work will result in disqualification.
3. Be Transparent
Use open-source tools and give credit where due.
Clearly disclose any use of pre-existing codebases or boilerplates.
4. Be Intentional
Build projects that reflect the values of decentralization, transparency, and empowerment.
No scammy tokens, ponzinomics, or malicious smart contracts.
5. Report Issues
Any violations can be reported privately to organizers via Discord or email.
Violators may be removed from the event and banned from future participation.
