Description

Background of the Non-Profit Organization:

The Sisters of Mary School, Inc. (SMS) is a non-profit educational institution that provides education and vocational training to underprivileged and marginalized youth. The organization aims to uplift the lives of disadvantaged children by offering them free education, vocational skills, and other essential support services. The Sisters of Mary School operates several campuses in different parts of the world, focusing on helping young individuals escape the cycle of poverty through education and skills development.

There are now almost 20,000 children each year in school places in 13 secondary schools, one elementary school and three day-care centres run by the Sisters of Mary in the Philippines, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Honduras, and most recently Tanzania.

More than 150,000 children have successfully graduated from these schools to date. The education and experiences they gain profoundly enhance their employment prospects, positively impacting not only their own lives but also those of their families and communities.

Problem Statement:

The increasing number of graduates of The Sisters of Mary School in the Philippines, currently estimated at approximately 70,000, is straining the efficiency of alumni management due to the absence of a digital system for graduate tracking, project monitoring, and donation management. This calls for the development of a comprehensive digital solution to streamline these processes and enhance overall alumni engagement and support.

Supporting Cause:

"Empowering the Underprivileged Through Education, Care, and Opportunity: Our Cause with Sisters of Mary School" Our cause is to support the Sisters of Mary School (SMS) in their noble mission, as founded by Venerable Aloysius Schwartz, to provide free education, vocational training, medical care, and shelter to the underprivileged. Over the years, this institution has empowered and graduated 70,000 high school graduates from various batches in the Philippines alone, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty.

Our focus is on leveraging the SMS portal, a comprehensive digital solution, to streamline processes and enhance alumni engagement and support. By doing so, we aim to amplify the impact of SMS, ensuring that more underprivileged students receive the education, care, and opportunities they deserve. Together, we can change lives, uplift communities, and create a brighter future for all.
