1. Timesheet Booking

  • Employees log their working hours (daily/weekly) against specific projects, tasks, or cost centers.

  • Entries typically include:

    • Date

    • Project / Work Order / Client

    • Task or Activity description

    • Hours worked (regular, overtime if applicable)

  • Some systems allow attaching notes or supporting details.

2. Approval Levels

  • After submission, timesheets usually go through multi-level approval depending on company policy:

  1. Manager / Supervisor Approval

    • First-level approval by reporting manager to check correctness of work hours and allocation.

  2. Project Manager / Functional Lead Approval (if applicable)

    • Ensures hours are correctly charged to the right project or cost center.

  3. HR / Finance Approval

    • Final check for payroll, billing, or compliance before processing.

3. Workflow

  1. Employee fills timesheet → Submits.

  2. System sends notification to approver.

  3. Approver reviews & approves/rejects.
