Problem
Access to consistent pediatric healthcare remains difficult in low-connectivity and resource-constrained settings. Community health workers often depend on paper files or isolated digital tools, which makes it hard to maintain a complete patient history, coordinate with specialists, and give timely follow-up care. When diagnostic images or handwritten notes are captured, they are rarely structured for later analysis, and remote pediatric experts cannot easily review or contribute to care decisions.
Application
CareBridge Kids is a dual-application platform designed to close these gaps.Mobile App: A native, offline-first OutSystems mobile application enables nurses, physicians, and community health workers to register children, record visits, capture vitals, photos, and lab results, and schedule follow-ups. All data is stored securely on the device and synchronized to the cloud once connectivity is restored.Web & Backend: A complementary web application—CareBridge Kids Management—lets administrators and clinicians manage patients, visits, and medical records at scale. It supports different user roles, provides analytics dashboards, and serves as the hub for AI-driven insights and tele-consultations. Together these apps create a continuous, secure electronic medical record that is easy to use in the field and powerful for centralized care coordination.
AI and Agentic AI Solutions
The platform embeds a multi-agent AI system that turns unstructured clinical input into structured, actionable knowledge and assists with decision making:
OCRAgent – extracts text and measurements from photos or scanned documents.
PaperworkAgent – converts the extracted text into structured records ready for the EMR database.
CategorizationAgent – maps diagnoses to WHO11 categories for standardized reporting.
DocumentationAgent – analyzes visit notes and other documents to highlight key clinical details.
SummarizationAgent – produces concise visit summaries and longitudinal patient histories for quick review.
These agents work together in a human-in-the-loop process: OCRAgent captures data, PaperworkAgent formats it, and a clinician reviews and confirms the result to ensure medical accuracy. Summarization and categorization agents then create structured insights, such as risk scores or suggested next steps. The knowledge base built from historical records supports image- and text-driven diagnostic suggestions and personalized treatment planning.
By combining offline-ready mobile tools with AI-powered data processing and clinical decision support, CareBridge Kids provides a scalable model for delivering timely, coordinated pediatric care in low-connectivity environments.
