In disaster scenarios, quick and efficient triage in the field is vital for identifying individuals who need immediate help. BakerRipley must perform immediate assessments of disaster victims to determine the level of care required, whether it's urgent, delayed, or minor care. This process is often resource-intensive, requiring fast decision-making to allocate medical assistance, shelter, and supplies. We aim to streamline and automate this triage system using AI to ensure resources are allocated efficiently, prioritizing the most critical cases first.

Our project is designed to revolutionize BakerRipley's approach to disaster recovery by developing a comprehensive AI-powered application that enhances triage, resource management, and event triage analysis. In the aftermath of a catastrophe, timely and efficient response is crucial. Our application will integrate external services to identify catastrophic issues, allowing responders to input relevant data directly into the system.

With the incorporation of AI, we will generate tailored questions and calculation formulas to guide responders through the START (Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment) Triage process. This will allow the assessment of the severity of injuries and quickly prioritize treatment based on the severity of injuries for each individual. The AI will also suggest the most suitable support facilities based on the triage results, ensuring that aid is directed where it is most needed.

Additionally, the application features an AI-powered chatbot capable of answering questions and facilitating interaction with the event dashboard (Interactive dashboard that allows you to analyze critical information about each event). This enhances user experience and provides immediate support during critical moments. To optimize supply management, we integrate an AI tool that reads stock levels of essential supplies, enabling efficient allocation to various facilities as required.

A mobile application will empower field workers to triage on-site using a dynamic AI-generated form. This allows real-time data collection and calculations, functioning online and offline to ensure accessibility even in areas with limited connectivity. By implementing these features, our solution aims to significantly improve the speed and accuracy of disaster response, ultimately supporting BakerRipley’s mission to assist communities during event time.
