Problem Statement
IPOPI (International Patient Organization for Primary Immunodeficiencies) is a global nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs).
Established in 1992 and active in over 70 countries, IPOPI works closely with national patient organizations, healthcare providers, and policymakers to promote early diagnosis, treatment access, and research for PIDs.
The organization struggles with inconsistent collaboration between its numerous national organizations, which hinders efforts to solve common challenges such as access to treatment and early diagnosis.
The need for a platform to facilitate knowledge exchange, promote problem-solving discussions, and offer accessible tools globally is essential to their mission.
Use Case / Project Description
We developed the IPOPI Level Up app, designed to assist nonprofit organizations in discussing internal challenges interactively during IPOPI’s Global Patient Meeting.
The platform uses a board-game approach, encouraging organizations to share their experiences and collaboratively find solutions. It also supports AI-driven translations, making it accessible to international participants. Additionally, the app accelerates and guarantees that nonprofit participants do not leave the event without an action plan, or at least the basis for it.
