Description
Gift protocol is a project based on ICP threshold ECDSA. The revolutionary idea is to give any Twitter user a web3 gift (tokens or NFT) only by their X (Twitter) username.
How it works technically:
1. Create an ICP Canister with tECDSA EVM address on the Polygon blockchain.
2. Send an asset to the address inside the canister and specify the X (Twitter) handle of the receiver; a "receive gift" link is generated.
3. The gift receiver visits the link and has to post the address of their freshly created non-custodial wallet on X (Twitter) via tweet.
4. The Canister parses the user’s tweet, which includes the address, and validates the Twitter handle. If the handle matches the handle on the canister, the canister sends a transaction with the asset to the receiver on the Polygon blockchain using tECDSA signing.

The gift protocol can be thought of as a Quest Platform in reverse. With onboarding to the protocol, the user can receive a gift in the form of LP position tokens. To collect the gift, the user may learn how the protocol works, and the gift will give an emotional motivation to do so.
