The Problem   

Human resource departments face significant challenges in efficiently processing large volumes of resumes and identifying the best fit for job descriptions. The manual evaluation of resumes is time-consuming and often leads to a bottleneck in the hiring process, making it difficult to rapidly identify ideal candidates and potential job hoppers.

The Solution   

HR Harmony is a comprehensive Streamlit application designed to automate and streamline the resume screening process. It features three main functionalities:

• Resume Job Hopper Identifier: Quickly flags candidates with frequent job changes, reducing the risk of short-term hires.
• Resume - Job Description Fit Identifier: Analyzes and matches resumes against job descriptions, providing a detailed assessment via a spider chart. This chart visually compares candidates based on customized scoring criteria set by the LLM model, offering an intuitive and comparative analysis.
• Resume Data Miner: Extracts specific data points from resumes, such as email, name, and phone number, facilitating quick data retrieval and organization.

Results from these tools are displayed in real-time on the user interface and can be downloaded as CSV or Excel files for further analysis.

The Technology Used   

• Streamlit: For building and hosting the web app.
• Pandas: To handle data manipulation and analysis.
• OpenAI API: Utilizing the OpenAI powerful LLM's in mining, identifying, and scoring applicants
• PyPDF2: For reading and extracting data from PDF files.
• Plotly Express and Matplotlib: To create interactive charts and visualizations, such as the spider chart for visually comparing candidates.
