facts.hype
What if you want to know if $ETH is going to 10k by end of this year? Or you want to verify if a certain flight to Japan on Dec 10 is getting delayed? Or you simply just want to know what is Hyperliquid and how it works? - facts.hype got you covered, it is a crowd-sourced truth-seeking engine with a built-in dispute resolution system that's actually fair - and is maximally-aligned with HyperLiquid.
You can treat facts.hype as a market resolution system that you can build DeFi protocol on top of, or simply a truth-seeking knowledge base. Enjoy crowdsourcing wisdom.
Currently there is still not a fair market resolution system in blockchain. There is no sufficiently decentralized way to source and verify information in the real-world, we either rely on whitelisted operators to push data to oracle, or get the truth manipulated by token whales/”DAO”.
But with facts.hype you can be sure that the answer you get from your question will be the most reliable and battle-tested from the crowd within a time frame you specified, as long as you provided good enough incentive.
Users can ask any question and attach a bounty(truth-seeker), researchers can submit their answers after depositing $HYPE into facts(hunter), others can vouch for that answer by staking $HYPE on top(voucher) - the answer with most vouches gets selected to be the “most-truthful” answer and hunter and vouchers will share the bounty.
facts.hype introduces a challenge mechanism where after the hunting period is over, anyone can challenge the answer by paying $HYPE and if it gets accepted by the DAO - part of the hunter’s stake will be slashed to challenger, part of vouchers’ stake will be slashed to the DAO:
More importantly in order to avoid the truth being manipulated by the DAO, facts also introduces a mechanism to allow an external party i.e. the Council to override the final settlement from DAO, and slash the DAO voters’ $HYPE to prevent them being malicious.
With this mechanism facts.hype can be a plug-and-play truth-seeking engine for any kinds of protocols to build on top of e.g. Prediction Market, Insurance, Under-collaterized Loan and pretty much any protocols that require a robust, reliable and decentralized way to verify any real-world event.
