Inspiration
Our inspiration came from experiencing the deception culture that we live through every day. As university students on the job hunt, we've come face-to-face with loads of fraud and a world full of people trying to "get ahead". It's truly sad to see, and it's a problem we set our minds to fix.
What Does it Do
Transparence verifies worker employment history, education, awards, projects, portfolios, and more on-chain.
How We Built It
We built Transparence through a React front-end, linking to various Blockchain Operating Systems, DBMS, and a Node backend.
Challenges We Ran Into
Smart contracts on our system. Focused on creating an idea with the most impact and potential possible, we were annoyed having to deal with little intricacies and debugging difficulties slowing us down from being able to ship the best product-side project we can. But we persevered, poured hours into it, and fixed our problems.
What We Learned
The most important lesson was everything we learned about our awful global work culture, and the various benefits of blockchain to further humanity. As we hacked, we fell in love with the idea even more, an innovative solution that if implemented, can solve not just a problem space for users, but a truly terrible culture and build a better world.
What's Next?
We want to make this happen, and make it massive! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, we're devs with big entrepreneurial mindsets, and we want to grow as entrepreneurs and raise funding so that we can make this as big as the world deserves it to be.
