Purpose:
We Don’t Know How To Steal Your Data is an app created to enhance safety and privacy. It provides a safe and reliable way for users to avoid using mainstream social media apps where their data is at risk of being stolen.
Inspiration:
As high schoolers, one of our growing concerns is having our online data leaked. Hence, We Don't Know How to Steal Your Data is created so that students feel safe chatting online. Our application will provide a sense of security no other apps can provide because we are coded to not save messages.
How we built it:
Challenges We Ran Into:
We encountered problems using Linode as a host to establish and maintain connections between the server and clients. Additionally, we faced difficulties in integrating the front-end and back-end development.
Accomplishments That We're Proud Of:
This was our first multi-user program. We are incredibly proud of attempting to implement modules like socket and pickle. Moreover, we successfully hosted our server on Linode, enabling users from any device to access and utilize our program.
Next steps
Allow more users to have conversations in a group
Improve the front-end development and create a more user-friendly interface
