Inspiration
Seeing how important projects are nowadays for students and adults alike, our team sought out to address the common challenge of finding engaging and relevant work, by providing opportunities to everyone regardless of skill level, occupation, age, etc. Our team also hoped to focus on fighting against important problems in society. We aim to foster a positive and growing community that encourages uniting to fight against injustice such as creating cancer awareness groups.
What it Does
Converge acts as a connection between project planners and project seekers. Whether it be for something simple like a small game or a large-scale business plan, you can start a listing and start looking for suitable people. Anyone looking for a project can look through the list of available projects, see which ones match their skillset and interest them, and then join the group.
How We Built It
Our team utilized react, typescript, and tailwind for front-end, and utilized flask, python, and postgres for back-end to put together this project.
Challenges We Ran Into
We had a lot of problems with the back-end, mainly getting the database working for everyone and having the website look the same for everyone. Disorganization was a big challenge we ran into.
Accomplishments That We're Proud Of
We're proud of successfully implementing blockchain into our website and the overall front-end design.
What We Learned
We learned more about databases and blockchain implementation.
What's Next?
A.I. matchmaking system, resume scanner to check for skill points, learning tab with A.I. recommended videos for more technical project seekers.
