Hospital wait times are unreasonably lengthy; some patients may have to wait up to 10 hours in the emergency room (ER). This means that during these protracted wait times, major medical issues may go untreated, which could be fatal. The potential of virus transmission is substantially increased in crowded waiting areas. Additionally, due to triage concerns, mild cases, like a youngster with a cold, may be seen before someone with a severe disease like a heart attack. These issues highlight serious inefficiencies in our emergency room systems.
Using this software, users can take a quick test to find out if they should go to the emergency room or if a clinic will do. The app considers the severity of other patients' conditions and the current wait times when scheduling an ER visit, ranking the severity of the problem after a diagnosis is made. This strategy prioritises serious cases in an effort to eliminate congested waiting rooms and unpredictable wait times. The software also shows users the current wait times at neighbouring hospitals, allowing them to choose the ones with the shortest wait periods. This strategy guarantees prompt care for those with more severe illnesses, increasing overall effectiveness and safety.
