Description

FUTURE ME’s aim is to empower the elders of the future to adopt, self-manage, take ownership and track healthy choices and lifestyles of the present to create the best personal conditions for an healthy and autonomous ageing future, in an empathic, codesigned and innovative way.

A MULTIPLE-LAYER PROBLEM:

  • Often the roots of debilitating ageing are a consequence of unhealthy habits acquired in young life;
  • Lack of awareness: poor/weak visibility of the direct impact of the present lifestyle and life choices in the quality of the final 20 years, yet it determine the life quality and autonomy our Personal Futures;
  • Engagement, Participation and Social: beyond diseases which are chronic/genetic/lifestyle related, Healthy Ageing is as much physiological as it is psychological (mental health) and sociocultural life phenomena.

TARGET GROUP:

Our priority user group are the elders of the future

They are today in their 30s, 40s and 50s. They are starting to embrace healthy and self-care habits (such as fitness, conscious diets and practicing mindfulness) and possibly unaware (today) of the relationship between many other factors that will impact the end of life, as well as how to craft a positive, exciting and desirable personal future, and how it will impact their life!

THE SOLUTION:

FUTURE ME’s aim is to empower the elders of the future to adopt, self-manage, take ownership and track healthy choices and lifestyles of the present to create the best personal conditions for an healthy and autonomous ageing future, in an empathic, codesigned and innovative way

IMPACT:

The ultimate goal is to connect choices and lifestyle of today with the future life, in a tangible and empathic way, to boost an evidence based connection between present and future, in a deeper emotional level, so that we (younger and middle age citizens) start dreaming and planning towards a positive future much earlier in our lives. We hope this will reverse today's socially accepted belief of an unavoidable decline in healthy and autonomous life, at the later years of living
