AstraRisk is a risk-scoring and pricing engine for satellites. It fuses debris catalogs, orbit dynamics, and space-weather signals to generate an Orbital Risk Score (0–100) and recommended premium ranges for LEO missions.
The MVP targets underwriters and operators who need fast, explainable estimates during quoting and portfolio reviews
The Problem
Space insurance is constrained by fragmented data, manual workflows, and slow, non-standard assessments. Underwriters lack a consistent way to:
Compare missions across fleets and orbits
Quantify exposure to debris, radiation, and ops hazards
Translate risk into premiums and coverage terms with clear rationale
Our solution
AstraRisk provides a standardized, explainable pipeline from orbital data to pricing:
Ingest: TLEs / ephemerides, mission & bus data, maneuver logs, anomaly history, space-weather indices.
Model: Propagation + encounter likelihoods (debris density along track), radiation environment, ADCS/propulsion & ops risk factors, redundancy.
Score: Composite Orbital Risk Score with factor attributions (what drives risk and by how much).
Price: Benchmarking vs. comparable missions to suggest premium ranges & deductibles.
