Description

Hoot!

Hoot is a miniapp-on-base live quiz engager for events and group chats: hosts create a quiz, invite players to the room, and keep attention high with real‑time play.

Winners receive on‑chain prizes on Base; Farcaster/base app drives distribution and growth. Hoot also can be shared in a group chat  so friends can play, vote, tip, and share results without leaving the conversation.

For privacy‑sensitive rounds, a True/False mode powered by Enclave’s CRISP provides receipt‑free, verifiable tallies while keeping individual answers confidential.

After suB, @smazzolo69 should be constantly checking Telegram for cooking together 🧑🏼‍🍳

Bounties (how we integrated sponsors’ technology)

  • Base: on‑chain reward distribution and contract deployment on Base for fast, low‑cost payouts; leaderboards and prize settlement optimized for live rounds; designed for Miniapp – Social/Games tracks with viral loops and daily hooks.

  • XMTP (Best Miniapp in a Group Chat — $1,500): Hoot runs as an XMTP mini‑app so groups can play quick quizzes directly in chat; questions/actions as messages, in‑thread answers, live leaderboards, and payout intents/links to Base for on‑chain rewards—built for everyday use by friends.

  • Enclave : confidential True/False mode using CRISP in an Encrypted Execution Environment; encrypted votes, receipt‑free protocol, publicly verifiable tally without revealing individual answers. Extensible to auctions and collaborative analysis.

  • Calimero :
    - Self-Sovereign Tic Tac Toe: Players can engage in private tic-tac-toe games without revealing their moves to external parties
    - Peer-to-Peer Architecture: Direct player-to-player communication without centralized intermediaries
    - Privacy-Preserving Gameplay: Game state and moves are kept private between participants
    - Decentralized Gaming: Leverages Calimero's infrastructure for secure, private blockchain interactions
    - The Calimero integration demonstrates how traditional games can be enhanced with blockchain privacy features, allowing players to maintain control over their game data while still benefiting from decentralized infrastructure.
