Wola

Wola is a decentralized event platform that makes attendance reliable by introducing financial commitment. Participants lock a deposit when registering, and organizers lock a bond when creating an event. If participants don’t show up, their deposits are slashed and redistributed to attendees. If organizers fail to meet a minimum attendance ratio, part of their bond is slashed as well.

The app offers frictionless onboarding with passkey wallets no seed phrases, no browser extensions, and free transactions covered for users. 

Core Flow:

1. Organizers create an event and lock a bond.

2. Participants register by locking a deposit.

3. Cancellations follow clear policies: full, partial, or no refund depending on timing.

4. During check-in, organizers mark attendance.

5. At completion, forfeits and bond slashes are distributed according to the policy, and everyone can claim directly.

• Frontend: Next.js, Scaffold-ETH + Hardhat 

• Blockchain: Rise chain

• Wallet: Porto passkey wallet (embedded, gasless transactions)

Future Roadmap:

• Proof of Humanity with World ID (pending Rise bridge).

• POAPs on check-in: participants receive an NFT certificate, and organizers may require specific POAPs to ensure the right audience.
