ETH Belgrade Hackathon 3 (3 - 5 June 2025)

ETH Belgrade Hackathon offers a three-day hacking experience with a primary focus on building on Ethereum. Following the success of the inaugural hackathon in 2023, and hybrid hackathon in 2024, we aim to surpass it in every aspect.

Once again we're opening the doors for builders from all around the globe to join us both in-person and online (hybrid). Our goal is to gather hundreds of hackers and curious minds to develop projects and use cases that will reshape the Ethereum landscape and enhance people's lives.

In-person participation

All in-person hackathon participants need to stake 0.05 ETH to confirm their attendance ❗❗

All in-person hackathon participants are eligible to ETH Belgrade Conference too (June 3-5) with the requirement to show up at the hackathon venue and submit the project.

In order to ensure participation in the hackathon, all in-person participants will be required to stake 0.05 ETH.

Note: Failure to attend the hackathon and submit your project will result in losing your stake

If you've already purchased your ETH Belgrade ticket there is no need to stake - that ticket will be considered your stake and the mentioned ETH Belgrade ticket will be refunded to you after you've successfully submitted your hackathon project. If you have NOT purchased your ETH Belgrade ticket, then staking is required and we will send you your free ETH Belgrade ticket promptly.

Judging Criteria

The project score (out of 100%) is calculated from the following judging criteria:

🧠Technical Aspect (50%)

• How complex was the project to build?
• How well does the project leverage the underlying technology stack?
• Was the functionality proposed in the submission fully implemented?
• Is there a live working demo?
• Is the application easy to understand and navigate? (Or, if it’s a tool/API, is it simple to integrate?)

🧩Practical Aspect (25%)

• Does the project fill a real gap or solve a real-world problem in the blockchain space?
• How feasible is the project to implement in the real world?
• To what extent is the project economically justified?
• How intuitive is it the UX/UI?

💡Innovation Aspect (25%)

• How original or creative is the idea?
• Does the project leverage new technologies?
• Does it enable new types of solutions or applications?
